Support a young woman with intellectual and developmental disabilitiesto achieve maximum independence integrating agency core values. Provide reliable, compassionate and consistent care while creating meaningful, quality-based relationships in a supportive cultural environment. Care includes using the RIDE transportation from her shared living home in South County to a day program where she is encouraged to participate planned activities.
Monitor, assess and advise on health observances and needs, while promoting health and wellness through nursing practices. Create a positive, responsible and open communication style including family members, employees and other health care providers. When indicated clarify plans of care. Report observations to the coordinator. Attend all required state and agency trainings including staff meetings. Other job duties as assigned.
Certification, Licenses, Registrations
Graduatefroman accredited school of nursing with an Associates or Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. Experience preferred providing care for chronic, acute and mental health needs. Must possess a valid Rhode Island Nursing license .
