MichaelBaker International is seeking a qualified Public Safety Subject Matter Expert(SME) to join our Public Safety team. This is an opportunity to work within adynamic and growing industry and with one of the leading NG9-1-1 GIS solutionsand services firms. We are building a public safety practice of people whodesire being part of a dynamic team delivering Public Safety solutions forgovernments.
Underthe direction of a national team lead, the successful candidate will beresponsible for supporting the engagement, relationships, business development,and successful project implementations for clients. They will collaborate withdata Quality Assurance team members performing client technical briefings,presentations, analyses and other forms of client communications. Other dutiesinclude supporting project managers in executing and/or reviewing marketingdata deliverables, working with product managers on any updates to dataprocessing solutions or identifying bugs, day to day technical and operationalproblem solving with both clients and internal program staff on public safetyproject deliverables, as well as providing customer support for the regionalteams through direct and remote engagement. This role must have a basicunderstanding of the DataMark product suite including services and software,public safety agency operations, and GIS data needs of public safety systems.

Participate in 911/GISindustry groups (NENA and URISA) as a committee member, workshop instructorand/or speaker at conference events; participate in other visible industryroles to maintain a high profile; attend major conferences such as NENA, APCO,ESRI UC, statewide and regional GIS groups as needed
Identify potentialbusiness development opportunities that are professionally challenging; bringrecognition to Michael Baker on a local and regional basis; recruit and attractindividuals to the firm and help build careers; serve as technical and careermentor to existing and future Public Safety and GIS staff
Provide exemplaryleadership and serve as a role model for others
Develop client leads andprepare project proposals and contracts in cooperation with regional leads

Support all internalteams with public safety expertise in client engagement, proposals, and projectimplementation
Provide operationalsupport regarding public safety operations, policy, legislation, and emergingissues for client engagement
Effectively communicatewith clients regarding data needs, priorities and on support matters
Minimum of a BachelorsDegree in Geography/GIS, Science, Engineering, Public Safety, Public SafetyAnswering Points, Information Management, Computer Science or relevant field.Four (4) or more years of Public Safety management experience may besubstituted for education.
Minimum of 5 yearsprofessional experience in 9-1-1 management
Demonstrated experiencein understanding client needs related to 9-1-1 operations and the ability tooffer solutions that meet client needs yet are consistent with NG9-1-1requirements
Experience with E9-1-1and NG9-1-1 systems including CAD, CPE, mobile data, and related public safetysystems
Expert understanding ofPublic Safety operations
Strong analyticalabilities, solid trouble-shooting skills with the ability to quickly identifyand solve client issues
Computer software skillsincluding Microsoft Office Suite
Highly proficient in theoperational workflows involved in 9-1-1, E9-1-1 and NG9-1-1 centers, the datarequired and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
Outstanding written andoral communication skills
Exceptional customerservice orientation
Ability to translatetechnical concepts into laymans terms
